Junction Farmers Market
  • runs every Saturday morning through the summer to early fall
  • June 2-October 13, 2012

  • Located in the Green P parking lot at Dundas St W and Pacific
  • fresh local food
Good Food For All Fest 2012
  • presented by The Stop Community Food Centre
  • Saturday September 22, 2012
  • entirely free and family friendly
  • the day starts with the Good Food For All march at 11:15am at 1900 Davenport Rd in front of the Davenport Perth Neighbourhood Centre (DPNC)
  • the festival starts at 12:00pm behind the DPNC and runs until 3:00pm
  • there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, arts and crafts in the kid zone
  • entertainment in the form of live music, dance performances, story telling and tea making
  • community cook off, Good Food Market and samples from the Stop Kitchen
  • Sponsored by ING Direct and The New Farm
Sterling Cinema Al Fresco
  • FREE outdoor movie at 181 Sterling Road
  • Something's Gotta Give will be playing starting at 8:30pm
  • bring your own lawn chair, blanket, food and definitely booze to keep you warm!

  • fresh local food
ParkBus Provincial Park Service
  • great for families that do not own cars or families trying to be more green
  • a bus service that takes you to a few of Ontario's best provincial parks
  • pick up spot closest to the neighbourhood is Dufferin and Bloor
  •  you can bring all your camping gear and select the dates you want to travel
  • project by Transportation Options (T.O.), a non profit organization

Train Wall Horror Show
  • for anyone, especially residents of the Junction Triangle, wondering what the future of diesel train service will look like in their neighbourhood
  • there will be a display at Perth Square Park (350 Perth Ave) on Sunday September 16, 2012 from 12pm-3pm
  • as part of the massive diesel train expansion that is already happening, the provincial government will be installing 5 meter high fences all along the tracks bordering the Junction Triangle
  • The Junction Triangle Rail Committee will be constructing and displaying the train walls that will eventually be built in this neighbourhood as awareness to the residents

  • Located at 2799 Dundas St W (Keele & Dundas)

Really, Really, Free Market (RRFM)

  • runs every first Saturday of the month, rain or shine!
  • located in Campbell Park
  • 10:00am-2:00pm
  • it's a place where people bring what they have, take what they need and leave the rest
  • no money, bartering or trading involved
  • remaining items will be donated
  • includes items and services such as clothes, books, food, furniture, haircuts, gardening, music lessons, etc

Neighbourhood News: Junction Triangle

Campbell Park Saturday Supper
  • located in Campbell Park
  • 5pm-7pm
  • with camp fire
  • suggested donation is $5 for dinner and $2 for dessert, drinks $0.50-$1
  • vegan friendly
  • on the menu tonight: vegetable vegan stew or rancher's pie with beef, salad, millet
  • dessert: fruit pies with blackberries (vegan and gluten free)
Looking for a new brunch spot? Then check out.....the Farmhouse Tavern, a welcomed addition to the neighbourhood. All their ingredients are fresh and local, menu is written chalkboard style and changes depending what's in season. It's located at 1627 Dupont St. They have a great patio and FREE Wifi! If you want more information, then follow the Farmhouse on twitter @Farmhousetavern Make sure to also check them out for dinner, their hours of operation are as follows:
  • Thursday-Friday 6pm-12am
  • Saturday-Sunday 11am-12am
