Giveaway Time!!!!

It's been a while since I posted last, actually it's been a busy September which has left little time for blogging. I'm hoping to buckle down again and get back to blogging as I have a lot of great content swimming around in my head and it's time to put pen to paper.

To kick off my new found motivation for blogging, I thought I would start with my first ever giveaway in conjunction with No Problem Movers. Moving can be annoying and very costly, as much as I have moved in my lifetime, I always find myself unprepared for the big day and scrambling to find boxes, tape, labels, etc. No Problem Movers has been around since 2000 and specializes in the moves of residences and businesses locally or between major cities in Canada and the USA on a daily basis and often on short notice. No Problem Movers also provides vehicle moving, piano relocation, packing and unpacking services and cleaning services, what more could you ask for?

Here's what you get:

• $100 gift certificate towards any move
• free moving supply box, that includes 10 china boxes, 5lbs. of packing paper, 2 rolls of tape, 1 utility knife, 1 pack of moving labels, 1 mattress bag, 1 black marker and 15 feet of bubble wrap
• free pizza dinner on your moving day

Here's what to do to enter:

• leave a comment on my blog on how the above prize will help you with your next move
• follow me on Twitter @realtyqueenTO and leave a comment on my blog saying you did so
• follow No Problem Movers on Twitter @NoProblemMovers and leave a comment on my blog saying you did so
• like Realty Queen Toronto on Facebook and leave a comment on my blog saying you did so
• like No Problem Movers on Facebook and leave a comment on my blog saying you did so
• tweet or retweet about this contest
• subscribe to my blog and leave a comment on my blog saying you did so
• follow RealtyqueenTO and No Problem Movers on Pinterest, just click here and here and leave a comment on my blog saying you did so

All of the above will gain you EXTRA entries into the contest to better your chances of winning.

Lastly, here's the fine print, there's always fine print:

• not redeemable for cash
• gift certificates are not stackable
• must be used in conjunction with a move
• gift certificates can only be redeemed through No Problem Movers head office
• move must be a minimum of $1000 before taxes

So get a-liking and a-tweeting...winner will be announced Wednesday October 17th, 2012. Good luck!

Cool Homes: Princess Margaret Sweepstakes

I know I have been MIA for a bit, but I was helping out my boyfriend on his recent home renovation project, which is finally done! Of course there will be before and after pictures on the blog next week, so make sure to come back.

In the meantime, I had the pleasure of attending the sneak peek of the Princess Margaret Welcome Home Sweepstakes last week, thanks to my lovely friend, Renee. I know I'm probably the last person to blog about this and I'm sure by now you've probably already seen pictures, but just in case you didn't, now is your chance.

At first I thought Oakville, no thanks, I'm so not a suburban chic, but after seeing this home, I may be contemplating a move in the near future. The home was built from ground up and designed and decorated by Lynda Reeves and the House and Home magazine design team, frankly it's 6,500 sq ft of gorgeousness and reminiscent of a farmhouse gone modern, totally up my alley! So here's a sneak peek, but I highly recommend taking a tour yourself and of course buying a ticket for this great cause.

Obsessing over this family room, I want those wood shelves

Loving this cabinet in the kitchen!

I wanted to throw myself on this bed when I saw it

My dream closet

If I had this laundry room, I would do laundry all day and night!!!

I have a  lot more pictures of this beautiful home, but remember this is a sneak preview so you should really go check out this home in person and buy a ticket for cancer research, what I will say is home gym and removable glass wall, yes please....

Oh and the best part of the night besides seeing this beautiful home, meeting some cool bloggers, drinking Preseco and eating yummy treats, I actually won the raffle for the 47" 3D Smart TV, courtesy of LG Canada. Thanks again to Princess Margaret, LG Canada, House and Home and Renee who I literally rubbed (on her arm of course) for good luck, for this awesome TV!

For more information about this home and to buy your ticket, just click here and do your part to help conquer cancer.

Cool Homes: In 650 Sq Ft + Contest

This place not only wins the title of Cool Homes this week because it's a unique small space, it is also located in Toronto, near Bathurst and Queen! Owners and designers, Claudia Bader, Timothy Mitanidis and Martin Tavares bought this run down boarding house with huge potential in their eyes. They renovated the home into 3 apartments and Claudia and her husband Timothy live in the ground floor unit. It's 650 square feet of eye candy and they did it on a shoe string budget, sigh! What do you think?

Before I sign off, here's one more treat for you today, Davies Smith is having a great contest....

All you have to do is like their Facebook page and tell them you're perfect day in Toronto, it's that easy! My perfect day would be a helicopter tour of the city, followed by a private trip to the Toronto Island, where me and my significant other would have a catered picnic and a bike ride around the island afterwards, what about you?
